Spanish Teaching Position for the 2019-2020 school year

Norwalk Catholic Elementary School is seeking a Physical Education Teacher for the upcoming 2019/2020 school year.

An elementary Physical Education teaching position is responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Must be a practicing Catholic: all of our teaching positions are teacher/ministers and must help carry on the mission of Christ’s church, including attending Mass weekly at school if possible.

  • Have a current Ohio Department of Education license, certification, or endorsement to teach K-6 or equivalent P.E.

  • Have a current BCI/FBI background check

  • Required to take the Toledo Diocese VIRTUS program (formerly Protecting Our Youth), as well as the Mysterium Christi new teacher online classes

  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education or equivalent

  • Maintain excellent classroom behavior management and safety

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners

  • Provide exemplary communication skills to parents, staff, and stakeholders

  • Have an understanding of student abilities in gross and fine motor skills with regard to planning physical education activities

  • Be willing to travel between ECC campus and the elementary campus

  • Work well with fellow staff members in a professional learning community to ensure what is best for our students, including additional duties as deemed necessary.

  • Work with administration to provide activities and instruction which ensures a love for health and wellness among our elementary students

  • Teach the P.E. standards according to the Toledo Diocese and ODE

Part-time Housekeeping Employee
